Today, I took a JR train to Tokyo station. I planned to take a sky bus tour there. When I arrived at Tokyo station, I tried to look for the Mitsubishi Building where the ticket counter and station are located but I couldn’t find it. I went back to the station to ask the train officer. I decided to ask him in Japanese as I learned from Japanese school in Thailand and this was the first time I spoke Japanese in Japan. However, he answered back to me in English.
He showed me
the map and explained how I could go to Mitsubishi Building. I walked down the
street as he explained and I found that it was very close to Tokyo station.
I bought the
sky bus tour ticket at the counter on the first floor of Mitsubishi Building. I
took the non-stop bus route Tokyo Tower- Rainbow Bridge.
I went to
the station. The bus and guide were already waiting for people. The guide could
speak English very well but she would speak only Japanese when the bus tour
started. The guide gave me an ear piece so I could hear the English
description. Apart from English, there were also Chinese and Koreans on the bus.
The bus tour started on time. The guide spoke Japanese with exciting tone all the time. The bus drove past Imperial Palace, Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge, Ginza and back to the station. While the bus drove across the Rainbow Bridge, I really wanted to shout ‘I do not want to leave from here!!!!’ but I didn’t dare to do it. The tour took around 1 hour and came back to the station.
My next
destination was Odaiba Island which is an entertainment island. Japanese come
here to have some activities and take a rest.
I took the
train to Shimbashi Station where I could change to the train to Odaiba Island.
The train line to Odaiba Island is called ‘Yurikamoma’. The trains of this line
run without driver.
I bought a ticket
from the machine and went up to the platform. When I arrived on the platform,
the train was already waiting for people but I didn’t take that train. I wanted
to wait for the next train so I could have a seat at the front of the train.
The front of the train has a big window so if you sit in the first row, you can
have a perfect view.
The train leaves
every 5 minutes so I did not have to wait for a long time.
The train
runs cross the Rainbow Bridge. You will be able to see the great view.
I got off
the train at the last stop because I just wanted to see the view of this island.
At the last
station, you can find a public park near the river. A lot of people came there
but it was still peaceful.
I took a
train to Aqua City, the entertainment center of the island. Around Aqua City, I
could find the imitated Statue of Liberty and a beach where people can swim but
that day the weather was too cold for swimming so I hardly saw people in the
water. I really liked this environment. Good weather and peaceful.
It was 3
p.m. but I didn’t eat anything. I went back to Shibuya. I intended to come here
because it was my favorite place in Japan and today was the last night I would
be in Japan so I wanted to spend time at the place I like.
I went to a sushi
restaurant in Shibuya to have my first meal of the day. This sushi restaurant
was special. The customers sit at the counter and everyone has their own
screen. Customers have to choose the menu from this screen. Then, the food you
ordered will come on the conveyor and stop in front of you. Then, you have to
take your dish and press the button in front of you so the tray will go back to
the kitchen.
After the
meal, I walked around in Shibuya again. I stopped at Tower Records which is a popular
music store in Tokyo. I saw a lot of girls waiting for something in the store.
I walked in and found that there would be a singer coming here. I didn’t know
who would come. Even when a group of singers came on stage and started singing,
I still didn’t know who they were. I only knew they were Korean.
Then, I went
to the Starbucks at the corner of Shibuya Street. I saw this branch the first
time I came here. This is the place where people can have a good view of
Shibuya Street. It was busy all the time but I wanted to try to go up because
this was my last night here.
I bought a Vanilla
Frappe on the first floor and went up to the second floor. I could see the best
view of Shibuya Street and I could get a seat as well.
While I was
drinking my frappe and looked down on Shibuya Street, I was writing my diary.
Then, I started crying again. My feeling said I didn’t want to leave here but I
didn’t had any choice. I had to go back to my place.
I walked out
of Starbucks and went to sit on the bench at the corner of Shibuya Street. I watched people walking by. Tears came back
to my eyes again. I could observe some tourists taking photos of me.
I looked at
my watch. It was 10 p.m. I sat there for 2 hours. It was the time I really had
to leave here. I said Bye Bye in my mind to Shibuya, stood up and walked to the
train station quickly.
I knew that my
dream was to stay here for my whole life but in my current real life, I still
couldn’t do it.
The next
morning, I woke up and packed my stuff to leave the hotel sadly. I took a train
to Ueno station from where I could take a train to Narita Airport. There was still
some time left, so I walked around Ueno Park. I bought amulets at Ueno Shrine for
myself, my family and friends. The amulet I bought for myself is for ‘dream
comes true‘. I hope it will effect to me.
I took a
skyliner train to Narita Airport. I arrived too early. I had to sit at the
airport for almost 3 hours.
My feeling
that time was like my heart was broken. However, my real life must go on.
Back home. I
promise I will be back again.
