New year 2016 countdown at Patong beach, Phuket

I enjoyed the last night of 2015 and the first few hours of 2016 at Patong Beach, Phuket in Thailand.

Patong Beach is full of tourists who enjoy the night life. You can enjoy beautiful beaches during the daytime and you enjoy party on walking street at night.

You can find various bars and shows here such as:

The open bars for only drinking and enjoying music and people watching;

The open bars where you can watch sexy girls pole-dancing;

Go-go bars;

Ping-Pong shows;

Ladyboy shows;

Night clubs; etc.

 For New Year’s Eve, many tourists will come to countdown at the beach. You can see fireworks starting from 8 p.m.  Around 11.45 p.m., Patong Beach will be full of people waiting for the first seconds of New Year together, spraying rainbow foam around and making some happy noise to welcome the New Year.

After celebrating New Year, many tourists will come back to the walking street or hotel and leave used spray bottles on the beach.    

At first I felt pretty bad to see that and I felt offended by the tourists being so careless. However, municipal officers almost completely cleaned up the mess until the next day.

New Year countdown at Patong Beach was the best countdown party ever for me. It was a very relaxing time and fun. It has become one of my good memories.
